Measure property distance and size

Overview

Property measurements help price work based on lawn, roof, driveway, walkway, pool, or service-area size before an on-site visit.

Use:

• An automated geospatial measurement integration.
• Manual satellite measurement and property custom fields.

Automated property measurement integration

Geospatial measurement tools use aerial imagery, machine learning, and property data to estimate:

• Lawn area.
• Building footprint.
• Driveway area.
• Walkway area.
• Snow-removal area.
• Other configured surfaces.

Measurements can flow into Fieldified property fields and quotes.

Connect a property measurement integration

1. Open the Fieldified integration marketplace.
2. Select the property-measurement application.
3. Select Connect.
4. Review the requested access.
5. Authorize the connection.
6. Sign in to the measurement provider.

What do you see in Fieldified?

The integration creates property custom fields for supported measurements.

New property records generate measurements according to the provider’s workflow. Values can then appear:

• On the property profile.
• While preparing a quote.
• In property exports and reports.

Configure additional measurement fields in the connected service when the business needs specialized areas.

Questions about the measurement provider

Use the provider’s support channel for imagery coverage, measurement corrections, billing, and integration-account access.

Manually measure and record property sizes

1. Open Clients.
2. Select the client and property.
3. Open the property in a map.
4. Switch to satellite view.
5. Zoom in closely.
6. Right-click the starting point.
7. Select Measure distance.
8. Add points along the line or perimeter.
9. For an area, return to the starting point.
10. Record the displayed distance and area.

For irregular shapes, add enough boundary points to follow the visible perimeter.

Satellite measurement is an estimate. Confirm critical measurements on site when exact dimensions affect safety, materials, or contractual pricing.

Record the measurement with a custom field

1. Open Custom Fields.
2. Add a property field.
3. Use a descriptive name such as Lawn size.
4. Choose a text or numeric field.
5. Leave the default value blank.
6. Save.
7. Edit the property.
8. Enter the measured value and unit.
9. Save the property.

Store the unit with the value, such as square feet, square meters, acres, feet, or meters.
