The client invoice view presents the billing details a client needs to understand what they are paying for. It includes the invoice summary, line items, totals, deposits, messages, and payment next steps.
Open Invoices to send an invoice to a client.
What clients see
Clients can review:
- Business and client details.
- Invoice number, issue date, and due date.
- Products and services.
- Quantity, unit price, and line item totals when visible.
- Discount, tax, total, deposit, and balance.
- Client message and contract disclaimer.
- Payment instructions.
Control invoice visibility
When editing invoice products and messages, review visibility settings for quantities, unit prices, line item totals, account balance, and late stamp. These controls help you decide how much detail appears on the client-facing invoice.
Before sending
Check the invoice from the client’s perspective:
- Is the scope clear?
- Are totals and deposits correct?
- Is the due date correct?
- Does the message explain the next step?
- Are payment instructions easy to follow?
