Activity feed

Review recent work activity across clients, requests, quotes, jobs, invoices, payments, notes, and team actions.

The activity feed shows what has happened across the account. Use it to understand recent updates, client interactions, record changes, and team activity without opening every record individually.

What is the activity feed?

The activity feed gives you a real-time snapshot of everyday work. It helps owners and admins keep a pulse on who did what, when it happened, and which client or record it affected.

Use it to review:

  • Quote approvals.
  • Payments collected.
  • Visits completed.
  • Requests submitted or converted.
  • Jobs created.
  • Invoices sent.
  • Notes and attachments added.
  • Timers started or stopped.

Bell icon

Open the activity feed from the bell icon in the top navigation. When there are new notifications, the bell can show an unread indicator.

Each activity feed item can display:

  • Team member who made the update.
  • Updated item type.
  • Client name when applicable.
  • Record number when applicable.
  • Total or value when applicable.
  • Timestamp.

Open the feed item to review the related record.

Notifications

Activity feed notifications can be triggered by:

  • Timers: Team members clocking in and out.
  • Clients: Clients created, deleted, archived, unarchived, imported.
  • Requests: Requests created, submitted, converted to quotes or jobs, deleted.
  • Quotes: Quotes created, sent, viewed, changed, approved, converted, deleted.
  • Jobs: Jobs created, updated, canceled, deleted.
  • Visits: Visits confirmed or completed.
  • Invoices: Invoices created, sent, paid, deleted.
  • Deposits: Deposits collected, edited, deleted.
  • Payments: Payments collected, edited, deleted.
  • Notes: Notes created or deleted.
  • Cards on file: Client payment method activity.
  • Reviews: Client review activity.
  • Profit margin: Jobs dropping below a minimum margin threshold.

Customize feed

Use Customize Feed to choose which activity types appear.

To customize:

  1. Open the bell icon.
  2. Select Customize Feed.
  3. Turn activity categories on or off.
  4. Save your preferences.

Preferences can be unique per admin so each leader can focus on the notifications they care about.

The feed shows the most recent activity first. Use filters to narrow the view when there are many notifications.

Best practices

  • Review activity during morning and end-of-day cleanup.
  • Use feed items to jump directly into records that need action.
  • Add clear notes on important updates so the activity feed has useful context.
  • Review payment, invoice, and quote activity before contacting clients.
