Sales: how Fieldified works for your role

Learn how sales users use requests, assessments, quotes, bids, and follow-up workflows in Fieldified.

Sales users often turn interest into approved work. In Fieldified, that usually means reviewing requests, completing assessments, creating quotes or bids, and helping approved work become jobs.

Overview

This guide is for sales users, estimators, and anyone who handles assessments, proposals, quote follow-up, and conversion to jobs.

Complete assessments

When a request needs an on-site review, use the scheduled assessment to capture details. Add notes, photos, attachments, and any information the office team will need later.

From the assessment:

  • Review client and property details.
  • Send an on-my-way message.
  • Add photos as notes.
  • Add measurements or scope details.
  • Complete assessment checklists.
  • Update line items if pricing can be prepared from the site.

Create a quote or bid

Use Quotes or Bids to present the scope and price of work. Add products and services, line items, client messages, attachments, images, terms, and internal notes as needed.

Create a quote on desktop

When creating a quote, review the top section:

  • Client.
  • Property.
  • Quote title.
  • Salesperson.
  • Opportunity rating.
  • Quote date.
  • Valid-until date.
  • Custom fields.

In the middle, add:

  • Products and services.
  • Quantity.
  • Unit price.
  • Text sections explaining scope, warranty, or terms.
  • Optional line items.
  • Line item images.

At the bottom, review:

  • Client message.
  • Client view/PDF visibility.
  • Discount.
  • Tax.
  • Required deposit.
  • Contract or disclaimer.
  • Internal notes and attachments.

Create a quote from mobile

Create a quote from:

  • A request.
  • Quick create.
  • A client page.

Select the client, add the quote title, choose line items from products and services, add optional items or images, then review discount, tax, required deposit, and client message.

Track quote progress

Review the Quotes list and Quotes Conversion Report to see what has been sent, approved, declined, archived, or needs follow-up.

Quote statuses include:

  • Draft.
  • Awaiting response.
  • Changes requested.
  • Approved.
  • Converted.
  • Archived.

Use statuses to decide what needs follow-up and which quotes are ready to become jobs.

Quote reminders and follow-ups

Follow up when a quote has been sent and the client has not responded.

Use two follow-up methods:

  • Quote reminders for internal prompts.
  • Automated quote follow-ups for client reminders.

When setting follow-ups, decide:

  • How many days after sending the quote to follow up.
  • Whether there should be one or two reminders.
  • Whether reminders go by email or text.
  • Which message template should be used.
  • Whether the message links to Client Hub for review and approval.

Convert approved work

When a client is ready to move forward, convert the quote or bid into a job so the operations team can schedule and complete the work.

When converting, review the job title, client, property, line items, schedule, team assignment, and invoice setup.

Practice tasks

  • Create a test request.
  • Add assessment notes.
  • Create a quote with line items.
  • Add a client message and attachment.
  • Convert the quote to a job.
  • Add optional line items and an image.
  • Add a required deposit.
  • Send yourself a quote.
  • Review quote status in the Quotes Conversion Report.
  • Set a quote follow-up.
