Day view

Use the day view to focus on one day of scheduled work in Fieldified.

Open Schedule and select day view when you need to dispatch, review, or update work for a specific date.

Overview

Day view gives you an hour-by-hour look at one day of work. It is the best view for dispatching, same-day changes, reassigning work, adding a map, and checking whether team members have enough time to complete their route.

Use day view to:

  • See each team member’s workload at a glance.
  • Adjust the schedule quickly as plans change.
  • Reassign visits to balance capacity.
  • Visualize travel time and reduce overlap.
  • Track unassigned or anytime work.
  • Create new work in an open time slot.

Use the schedule controls to move to the previous day, next day, or today. Use the date picker to jump to a specific date.

Day view can be shown vertically or horizontally.

Vertical day view

Vertical day view shows each team member in a column with time running down the page. Scheduled appointments appear in the timeline, while anytime visits appear in the anytime area for that team member.

Use vertical day view when:

  • You are dispatching live work.
  • You need to compare team availability.
  • You want to drag appointments between team members.
  • You want to resize appointments by duration.
  • You want to optimize anytime visits.

To adjust work quickly, drag an appointment to a different team member or time. Resize the appointment when the duration changes.

Horizontal day view

Horizontal day view shows team members down the side and time across the page. This layout is useful when you want to scan who is booked, who is available, and how the day flows across the team.

Use the anytime count to expand anytime appointments for a team member.

Unscheduled panel

Open the unscheduled panel to see visits or tasks that still need a date or time. From the panel, drag an item onto the calendar or open the item details to schedule it.

Map and GPS waypoints

Open the map panel to see the day’s appointments by location. Use the map to review travel flow, route order, and property clusters before dispatching the team.

When appointments have GPS or route details, review them with the appointment list to confirm the team has a practical day.

Filters

Filter the day view by:

  • Type: visits, request assessments, tasks, events, and reminders.
  • Team member.
  • Status: overdue, completed, upcoming, and confirmed.

Clear filters if expected work is missing.

Create new work from day view

Click an open time slot or use More Actions to create:

  • Job.
  • Request.
  • Task.
  • Event.

When creating work from day view, confirm:

  • Client and property.
  • Title.
  • Instructions.
  • Date and time.
  • Duration.
  • Assigned team.
  • Line items when applicable.

Day sheets

Use Daily schedule handoff when the team needs a printable or email-friendly daily work summary.
