Tasks

Learn how to create, edit, assign, remind, and complete schedule tasks in Fieldified.

Tasks are internal schedule items for work that does not need to become a billable job. Use tasks for errands, supply runs, callbacks, prep work, admin reminders, and internal follow-up.

Overview

Tasks can be created from:

  • Schedule by clicking an open calendar spot.
  • A client profile when the task belongs to a client.
  • Dashboard or quick actions.

Tasks can be assigned to one or more team members and can include reminders.

Create a new task

When creating a task, add:

  • Client: Optional. If linked, client contact details appear with the task.
  • Title: The name shown on the schedule and app.
  • Instructions: Internal details about what needs to be done.
  • Scheduling: Date and time, or all-day/anytime.
  • Repeats: Repeat schedule when the task happens regularly.
  • Assigned to: Team members responsible for the task.
  • Email team about assignment: Send assignment email when saved.
  • Team reminder: Send a reminder before the task starts.

Save the task after reviewing the details.

Tasks on the schedule

Tasks appear on the schedule and can be filtered by type. Completed tasks use completed styling so they are easier to separate from upcoming work.

Complete a task

Open the task from the schedule or mobile app and mark it complete when the work is finished.

Push notifications

Assigned users can receive push notifications when:

  • They are assigned to a same-day task.
  • A same-day task is moved.
  • A user is unassigned.

Users should allow Fieldified mobile notifications on their device.

Delete a task

Open the task from the schedule or client profile, choose Edit, then delete the task. Review whether the task is part of a repeat series before deleting.
