Notes, attachments, images, and links help your team keep the full story of a client request or job in one place. They are useful for site details, before-and-after photos, internal instructions, client conversations, signed documents, and handoff notes.
Where notes appear
Notes can be added to requests, quotes, jobs, and invoices. Open a record from Requests, Quotes, Jobs, or Invoices to review its notes section.
Link notes across work
When a note applies to more than one part of the workflow, link it to related records. For example, a note from a request can be linked to the quote, job, or invoice so sales, dispatch, fieldworkers, and billing all see the same context.
Attachments and images
Use attachments and images for:
- Photos from an assessment or job visit.
- Scope documents.
- Permits or signed forms.
- Supplier estimates.
- Client-provided files.
- Internal proof of completion.
Keep filenames clear and use the note body to explain why the file matters.
Best practices
- Put instructions for the field team on the job or visit, not only on the request.
- Add photos before converting a request so quote and job creators have context.
- Use internal notes for team-only details.
- Use client-facing messages on quotes and invoices when the client should see the information.
