Clients

Properties

Create service properties, manage property contacts, review work history, and maintain location data.

Overview

Properties are the physical locations where work occurs. Every property belongs to a client, while one client can have several properties.

Quotes and jobs use property addresses. Invoices use the client’s billing address and can also display the related job properties.

Create a property

Create a property:

  • While creating or editing a client.
  • From the Properties section of a client profile.
  • While creating a request, quote, job, or invoice for a new client.

To add one from a client:

  1. Open Clients.
  2. Select the client.
  3. Select Add property.
  4. Enter the address.
  5. Add details and contacts.
  6. Save.

Address suggestions populate the remaining fields. When the address cannot be found, continue typing and enter every field manually.

Add property details

Complete property-level custom fields for details such as:

  • Access information.
  • Service zone.
  • Equipment.
  • Lot size.
  • Building type.
  • Tax settings.

Select Add custom field while editing the property or manage shared fields in Custom Fields.

Add an additional contact on the property

Property contacts are useful for tenants, managers, site supervisors, or location-specific billing contacts.

Enter:

  • First and last name.
  • Role.
  • Billing-contact status.
  • Phone number.
  • Email address.
  • Associated properties.
  • Automated communication preferences.

A contact can belong to several properties.

Add or edit property contacts from the client or property editing workflow. A contact opened from a property has that property selected by default.

After work is created, edit the property record for future address changes. Existing quote and job records retain the property details used when they were created.

View properties on a client’s profile

Select a property address from the client profile or find it using global search.

The property page includes:

  • Requests.
  • Quotes.
  • Jobs.
  • Invoices.
  • Other service records.
  • Upcoming and past schedule.
  • Property contacts.
  • Recently used pricing.
  • Property details and custom fields.

Adjust a map pin for a property

Correct a property pin when directions or schedule-map placement is inaccurate.

  1. Open the property.
  2. Open More actions.
  3. Select Adjust map pin location.

Update it using:

  • Manual placement: Drag the pin to the correct location.
  • Current location: Use the device’s location while at the property.
  • Coordinates: Enter latitude and longitude.

Save the corrected pin.

Delete a property

  1. Open the property.
  2. Open More actions.
  3. Select Delete property.
  4. Review the warning.
  5. Confirm.

Deleting a property also removes associated quotes, jobs, estimates, pricing, and related reporting data. Deleted property data cannot be recovered.
