Overview
Push notifications alert users about workday changes and client actions requiring attention.
Push notification availability
Push notifications require the Fieldified App and device notification permission.
What sends a push notification?
- Today’s work overview.
- Today’s schedule changed.
- New request.
- New booking.
- New client message.
- Client viewed quote.
- Client approved quote.
- Payment bank-account issue.
- Active timer.
Today’s work overview
Sent around 6:00 AM on days when a user has assigned work. Admin and non-admin users receive it for their own schedule.
Today’s schedule changed
Sent when today’s assessment, task, or visit is added, rescheduled, removed, or canceled.
New request
Sent to admins when a client or lead submits a request. Internally created requests do not trigger it.
New booking
Sent to admins when a client books through online booking.
New message
Sent to admins and users with messaging permission. It includes a preview and opens the conversation.
Client viewed quote
Sent to admins the first time a client opens the quote in Client Hub.
Client approved quote
Sent to admins when a quote is approved.
Update your bank account
Sent to admins when payout bank details require attention.
Active timer notifications
Shown while general or visit time is running.
Selecting the notification opens Home for general time or the applicable visit. Dismissing it does not stop time tracking.
Supported iOS devices can show a persistent Live Activity and Dynamic Island timer.
How often are push notifications sent?
- Work overview: Around 6:00 AM.
- Schedule changes: One minute after the final change, combining nearby edits.
- Requests, messages, quote views, and approvals: Near real time.
Manage push notifications
In the app:
- Open More.
- Select Preferences.
- Enable or disable supported notification categories.
Users can control work-overview and schedule-change alerts. Device settings must also allow Fieldified notifications.
Troubleshoot push notifications
Check:
- The app is current.
- Device notification permission is enabled.
- The correct notification category is enabled.
- The schedule change was made by another user.
Users do not receive a schedule-change alert for their own edits. The one-minute delay prevents a series of alerts during one scheduling session.
