Two-way text messaging in the Fieldified App

Start and manage client text conversations from the mobile message center.

Overview

Two-way messaging lets authorized users communicate with clients from a shared Fieldified number.

Messages identify the sending team member. Automated texts identify Fieldified as the sender.

Private Client Hub links are hidden inside the internal message view but remain visible to the client.

Select a dedicated phone number

Configure the account’s messaging number from Fieldified web before using Messages in the app.

Users also need two-way messaging permission, managed in Manage Team.

View text messages in the message center

Select the Messages icon.

  • Unread conversations show a red indicator.
  • The app icon shows the unread count.
  • Search by client name or phone.
  • Select Compose to start a conversation.
  • Enter a new number and select Send to.
  • Open an existing conversation to continue it.
  • Open linked appointments, quotes, or invoices from conversation buttons.

Conversation actions:

  • Mark as unread.
  • View client.

Unknown numbers display as Unknown until connected to a client. Read state is shared account-wide.

View message history with a client

Open the conversation:

  • From Messages search.
  • From the client profile.
  • From a visit, request, quote, or invoice using the message action.

Push notifications

New client messages can trigger a push notification with the client name and preview.

Preview visibility follows device notification privacy settings.

Manage the Client message category from app notification preferences and ensure device notifications are enabled.
