Create an always-available business website
The Fieldified website builder creates a professional site where prospective clients can:
- Learn about the business
- Explore services
- View completed work
- Read reviews
- Submit a request
- Access the client hub
- Start an AI receptionist chat
The site is managed from Fieldified and stays connected to client intake and marketing reporting.
Who can manage the website
Administrators and users with website or marketing permissions can generate, edit, and publish the site.
Manage user access from Manage Team.
Create the initial website
- Open Marketing Tools > Website.
- Select Create My Website.
- Review the imported business information.
- Describe the business story.
- Review recommended service pages.
- Add or remove services.
- Select Create Site.
- Wait for the preview to be generated.
The generated site remains private until it is published.
Write the business story
The business story guides Fieldified’s page and content suggestions. Include:
- Business location and service area
- Services offered
- Ideal client
- What makes the business different
- Experience or qualifications
- Working style or values
Keep the description factual and focused. The builder uses it as source context rather than placing it on the website word for word.
Update company facts in:
Create useful service pages
The builder recommends pages from the business story. Add a separate page for each important service that deserves its own explanation and request path.
Why service pages help search visibility
Dedicated pages can provide:
- A focused service topic
- Relevant location and service terms
- Clear page structure
- Useful answers to client questions
- A direct path from search to a request
Avoid creating many thin pages with nearly identical text. Each page should explain a distinct service, audience, problem, or location.
Preview the website
Use the preview controls to switch between desktop and mobile.
Review:
- Navigation
- Heading length
- Image cropping
- Button labels
- Request forms
- Contact details
- Footer links
- Page spacing
Most prospective clients will visit from a phone, so complete the mobile review before publishing.
Add and organize sections
Pages are built from reusable sections. Select Add Section, choose a type, and place it in the desired order.
Hero
Use the opening section for:
- Clear service or business heading
- Supporting line
- Relevant image
- Primary call to action
- Review rating when connected
The headline should say what the business does and where it operates. Link the primary button to a request form or key page.
List
Use a list for:
- Services
- Packages
- Benefits
- Process steps
- Areas served
Empty items are hidden. Keep each item concise and use the section style that remains easy to scan on mobile.
Cards
Cards can highlight:
- Service pages
- Project categories
- Locations
- Packages
- Important resources
Each card can include an image, description, and link to another page or request form.
Testimonials
Connect Google Business Profile to show selected reviews.
Confirm that:
- The profile belongs to the business.
- Review content is relevant.
- The display remains readable.
- The profile’s address and visibility settings support the integration.
Image gallery
Add up to the displayed image limit and provide a useful caption for each image.
Use the gallery for:
- Completed work
- Team and equipment
- Before-and-after sequences
- Service examples
Fieldified generates alt text when supported. Review generated accessibility text for accuracy.
Frequently asked questions
Add the questions clients ask before requesting work, such as:
- Service area
- Estimates
- Appointment preparation
- Materials
- Timing
- Warranties
Useful answers can improve both client confidence and search relevance.
Text and image
Use this flexible section for:
- About the business
- Service explanations
- Process detail
- Team introduction
- Safety or quality information
Featured content
Highlight several differentiators with short headings and descriptions, such as:
- Licensed specialists
- Clear estimates
- Emergency availability
- Sustainable materials
Support the section with one relevant image.
Banner
Use a banner for one focused message and optional button.
Examples include:
- Seasonal booking
- Service-area notice
- Request an estimate
- Financing information
Request form
Embed a Fieldified request form so prospective clients can submit work without leaving the site.
Choose the form that matches the page and service. Keep required questions limited to information needed for the next step.
Footer
The footer can include:
- Company name
- Phone number
- Email address
- Client login
- Social links
- Privacy policy
- Terms
The footer uses business information stored in Fieldified.
Website image requirements
Use supported web image formats such as PNG, JPG, or JPEG within the displayed file-size limit.
For better results:
- Use sharp, well-lit original photos.
- Avoid screenshots of text.
- Avoid placing important subjects near crop edges.
- Use similar dimensions within a gallery.
- Remove client-identifying information.
- Obtain permission for property and client photos.
Text embedded in an image is less accessible and is not interpreted as normal page content by search engines.
Add more pages
Open the page selector and choose Add Page.
Page types can include:
- Service: A dedicated service page added to website navigation
- Privacy Policy: A footer-linked privacy page
- Terms and Conditions: A footer-linked terms page
- Custom: Locations, pricing guidance, careers, promotions, or other business content
Use the page editor to add sections and images after creating the page.
The website supports up to the page limit displayed in the editor.
Manage page navigation
Open Manage Pages to:
- Search pages
- Switch to another page
- Add a page
- Reorder pages
- Create menu groups
- Nest pages
- Rename pages
- Delete pages
The page order in the manager controls navigation order.
When renaming a page, review the updated URL. Add a redirect when a published URL changes so existing links and search results do not break.
Deleting a page is permanent and can create broken links from social posts, campaigns, or search results.
Add AI receptionist chat
Enable the Fieldified AI receptionist to let website visitors:
- Ask common questions
- Submit service requests
- Book eligible work
- Escalate to the team
To enable it:
- Open website customization.
- Select AI Receptionist Chat.
- Turn on Show Chat.
- Preview the visitor experience.
- Test common questions and escalation paths.
Review Fieldified AI Receptionist settings, services, availability, and follow-up ownership before publishing the chat.
Choose the default website address
The editor shows the Fieldified-provided address.
Select the edit action to choose an available website slug. Use:
- Business name
- Short, readable spelling
- No unnecessary punctuation
- A stable name that will not change seasonally
The provided address remains under a Fieldified website domain until a custom domain is connected.
Publish the website
- Review every page on desktop and mobile.
- Test request forms and buttons.
- Verify company contact details.
- Confirm privacy and terms pages.
- Review images and client permissions.
- Select Publish.
The site can enter a moderation review before becoming public. Fieldified displays the current publishing status and sends a notification after approval.
Publish later edits
Changes to a live website remain unpublished until you select Publish Edits.
Use Save Draft when:
- Content is incomplete.
- Another user must review it.
- The change should launch on a future date.
The public site continues showing the previous published version until the edits are published.
Delete the website
- Open Marketing Tools > Website.
- Open more actions.
- Select Delete Website.
- Confirm the deletion.
Deletion is permanent. Export or retain important content, images, policy text, and DNS information first.
A new website can be generated later, but previous page URLs and search history are not restored automatically.
Improve search appearance
Open SEO and Discovery to update:
- Site title
- Site description
Site title
Write a clear title containing the business name and primary service or location. Keep it near the displayed character recommendation so it is not truncated.
Site description
Summarize the main services, location, and differentiator. Keep it concise enough for search-result previews.
The editor preview is illustrative; search engines can display different text based on the search.
Search indexing timeline
The site is available immediately after publishing, but search engines can take days or weeks to discover or recrawl it.
Improve discovery by:
- Connecting a custom domain
- Linking from Google Business Profile
- Linking from social profiles
- Publishing useful service pages
- Avoiding duplicate thin content
- Keeping company information consistent
No platform can guarantee a particular search ranking.
Connect a custom domain
Publish the website first, then open custom-domain settings.
See Connect a Custom Address to Your Website for purchasing, DNS, HTTPS, email-record safety, and troubleshooting.
Maintain the website
Review the site regularly for:
- New services
- Old team or contact details
- Broken links
- Outdated seasonal content
- Request-form questions
- Expired promotions
- Image permissions
- New reviews and showcases
- Privacy and terms changes
Use Marketing Results to compare visitors and request submissions.
